crochet appreciation .....

all my dogs love a little crochet comfort x

yesterdays post featured talulla in my most treasured thrifted blanket, and today it is the turn of bean....

she is curled up in a blanket that i purchased from a lovely lady running a charity stall at a fair i was also attending - Finchcocks in Goudhurst Kent.

i am not too sure how i will feel if i ever find them curled up on the blanket i am currently making.

we are enjoying another sunny day here but it is also windy and very cold - any plans to continue with digging over the veggie beds has been forgotten, instead i have been working on a little project for Caithness Rare Breeds which involves a giveaway - hopefully there will be more news of the giveaway goodies over at Sea House blog later this week.

away i must go to walk the hounds and take some pictures of the front of the house - the two panes of glass are in and the cladding is being added now - the old shed we call home is starting to look rather smart!

back soon

Aww Bean looks so cosy curled up in her granny blanket.
I'm loving the chicken on the linen cloth, it's gorgeous.
And I'd have to have LOVE CUPCAKES on my brooch, but you knew that already lol
I'm doing a heart swap on my blog, so pop onover if you fancy joining in honey. I'd love to have you as part of it. You make the most fabulous items.
If you've had time to sort out any of the vintage tea party china, we'd still love to see what you've got.
We're off to look at a lovely little church this weekend and walk in the country side. Awww heaven.
Looking forward to hearing from you sweet friend. Thanks for miss Molly's birthday wishes, she's blown you a big kiss X
Hugs,
Catherine x

Wow, that hen is so beautiful. Last week saw the arrival of our 3 ewes and I am off to the poultry auction on Saturday - I'm so excited! I feel so lost without my livestock. Good luck with all your work with rare breeds - they are worth every minute. Love your blog. Debs x

Lovely photo. Our cats are the same, they can't resist a bit of crochet and snuggle up at every opportunity!

The dog clearly has excellent taste, the blanket is lovely.

I'm glad to hear that things are moving along well with the house.

Your gorgeous doggy has a nicer crocheted blankie than I do :)
I phoned the York store who posted the bag to me as it was out of stock online and on the phone...they were very helpful :)
Its an early birthday pressie I couldn't wait I was starting to feel agitated in case I never got one!!
I really love it..its huge..even with my stuff and baby gubbins in its still roomy :)

The pictures of your dogs make me smile every time. Bean looks just so content, snuggled in the blanket with the sunbeams shining on him. What a cutie!

i don't know what it is about pets and crocheted blankets.. the same thing is happening here.. last summer i brought home a little shoulder-warmer from my grandma's house. no need to tell you it never made it on my shoulders...
