A Cat in a Canoe and other stories............

This week has whizzed by - more packing and less crying - progress.

I have spent part of the week turning out our shop stockroom, yikes what a job!
Who would of thought that i had so much stock stashed away???
The thought of only having a six week sale with the piles and piles of goodies i have is ever so slightly daunting.
I think the charity shop will be happy at the end of all this - Stephen has given me very strict instructions that it is not moving with us.
The good side of all of this sorting is how it occupies the mind, but boy i ache this evening!

This is Bracken and Twigs Pigs getting ready for the move to the Coast - and yes i have told them both that this particular canoe will just not do on the North sea!!!

And here is my first completed felt fawn - she is pretty as a picture and will be on her way to the Brighton Open House next weekend (its good for a young fawn to travel)

I really enjoyed making her even though it took a long time and i am not completely happy with all the details. I have a soft grey and white fawn almost made so i will force her to pose for photos as soon as she has her flower corsage on xx

She looks kind of startled!!!!
Maybe i will try a different eye design on the next one.
Expect to be bored rigid over the next few weeks with a mix of animals all made with my own hands.
Perhaps a patchwork tortoise next.........

And last but not least is a picture of the almost completely healed Bean.
She is enjoying a freshly laundered eiderdown and her new favourite food ever.....
Asparagus!!!!!!!!

My girls have expensive tastes.

Better hope the fawn sells.
See you all soon

What a fab fawn! It's lovely - I am amazed that you are having time to do crafting with all the packing up of your house and business!! Looking forward to seeing the grey one now...and the tortoise!

I love the fawn, but the pictures of the 'real' pets are great! What is it with cats and baskets? Mine stuff their fat selves into any basket or box they see...even if they are half-spilling over the edge.
My favorite pic here right now is Tallulalah...what a happy doggie!

Hi Tracy - I've just been catching up with your blog. I'm so behind, but am delighted to see that you've sold to the first viewer. Brilliant. We sold to the second one. Doesn't it make life simple and less painful!

I love the fawns, and hope to see a photo of the whole herd before they disappear to Brighton.

I had to smile when I saw the flying saucers. Hannah had a jar of them (and some milk bottles and wiggly worms on the table at the entrance to the marquee at the wedding last week - everyone made a beeline for them!

Do you have a moving date yet? Sue

The little fawn is very cute, with her big startled eyes. Pebble has a felt pony that she chews at night - let's hope that the fawn doesn't end up experiencing the same fate!

It was also important for me to take time out to make things and be creative just before we moved, otherwise you just get bogged down with it all.
Have fun!

I'm glad Bean likes veggies - Harry's favourite is broccoli. He has been know to help himself when the organic box is delivered:)

The fawn is lovely, I especially like the legs, they are just right. Is there another shop you could sell some of your stock to if you still have some left nearer to moving day?
Glad Bean is better, she's lucky to get her paws on asparagus!

I quite like the startled look.

And I love your whippets! The dog you asked after on my blog is a greyhound, from the Greyhound Adoption Program. We love him, although he's slightly goofy.

Love your fawn and your cats are beautiful! Bean is very honoured indeed to be reclining on an eiderdown!

I've just caught up with your previous posts and thought 'Movong On' was very touching. But you're off on a new adventure and I'm sure you will never look back.

You are so talented, I don't know how you find the time to make such lovely things and at the same time as packing up your lovely home.
