today i purchased.....

three balls of string .....

which i have spent far too much time playing with and photographing when i should have been uploading the huge amount of Vintage goodies on to the website...

which will include this sweet little picture.....

in other news it would seem that i have failed in purchasing a valentines gift for my valentine - this was the reason for my trip out today whereupon i purchased string....

must start thinking up a good excuse or a way to fashion three balls of string in to a worthy man gift....

Loving the plate and i think i have the matching dinner plate to that beautiful jug, just the one it was a charity find.
I'm sure what ever you get or make Stephen he'll love, maybe a big old plate full of your yummy tiffin.

Please give me a tweet Tracy, would love to be able to chat a little more.
With love,

String Vest?
String laptop case?
String mittens?
String to tie to the end of his keys so making easier to find said keys?
Just a few helpful suggestions!

You're not alone! I've been sitting here this evening trying to think of something to make for my man. Tried free motion embroider and failed, just ended up with a tangled mess - on two machines! Hmmm... back to the drawing board.

Crocheted string tie might work ... or maybe not ...

Lovely string and quite understandable that it had to be purchased!

ummm.... you could macrame the string into a very useful man-bag?

Or you could tie the string around your finger, to remind you to arrange a Val day gift!?

You could crochet a little heart from the string and fix it to an old key - then give him the key to your heart?

You could always use one of the balls of string to make a trail for him to follow to his card or a little cake you could make him....that's if you can make the dogs leave it alone long enough!

They are representative of the yards and yards of love between you, and their winding into a ball shows the complexity and solidity of your bond.

Or something.
