How beautiful! I met another family with whippets at the vets yesterday. I was pretty depressed as our cairns had been fighting and bitten one of the kids. The husbands ex went nuts and requested the cairn that bit her be watched for rabies. So..even with shots, the vet has him isolated for the next week to see if he has caught it. It's rubbish but they have to do it. The whippet family told me their dogs fight all the time when cooped up in winter. Made me feel a bit better. Now, if we can teach 12 year old trips not to try to stop fights. Hope you guys are well.

Lovely peg ladies - Mary has been making some rather creative and slightly wilder-looking versions. And lovelier dogs; love seeing mine when asleep after long walk. But boy did they get up to high jinks while we were away....
Will tell you sometime. Suffice it to say that they are in v good shape. Which is more than can be said for the person with whom they were staying. Not their fault (of course) that she slipped and broke leg badly when walking them; and they narrowly escaped being impounded when ambulance men wanted to air lift her out of the field. Oh my goodness me.
Good job we can't afford to go anywhere else for a long while....
