so... more snow then....

i am starting to fear that Spring will not find its way to the very North Highlands at all...
yet more snow overnight and most of today, the chance of being snowed in again is looking very likely...

for so long i wished that i could live in Norway, in the deepest snow in a wooden house...
it sounded magical, romantic...
well i now do live in a wooden house in deep snow and let me tell you it is not romantic at all - quite frankly there is so much to do to keep the outside animals well and the home fires burning that their is little time for anything else!

although i did find time to make a mahoosive chocolate vegan cake....

proof that vegans do not have to miss out at all ..
and further proof that we are greedy pigs as this whole cake is just for two :)

back tomorrow as long as i still have connection to the outside world

That is a very lovely cake. Now what did you use to make it rise so nicely?

Delurking to say that the vegan chocolate cake looks absolutely delicious. I'm a vegan too and always on the lookout for great cake recipes. Might I ask where did you find the one for that cake?

Take care,

Vickie

you enjoy that cake, you deserve it! Looks very nice indeed! I made a lemon drizzle one today - my reward for digging on the allotment.
Can't believe you have more snow, it must be difficult with the animals, I hope we dont get anymore this week, I need to get my digging finished! Keep warm and eat cake I say!

I used to think the snow was fantastic....until the last few months that is!! We down south had sto much more snow than we are used to, along with the icey pavements it has put me right off snow now. Your cake looks delicious, any chance of that recipe on your blog? I am veggie but would love to be vegan, but with my family I fear it would be too hard as they are all meat eaters :o( I do give them veggie meals a few times a week too though. My 14 year old son didn't know he was eating veggie burgers and not meat ones!! :o)

Stay warm and toastie lovely lady.
Thinking of you up there x

Now that's what I call a chocolate cake. Shame you're so far away!!!

Hoping the snow will soon clear so you can get back to a 'normal' life!

I know how you feel about the snow. I'm sick of it. The cake looks delicious. We are on our own tonight and didn't have to share a cheesecake with children....Priceless.

I feel for you being snowed in again. Here in East Sussex we only really had it for a week and I felt like I had stumbled on to the set of The Shining! That cake would certainly make a lot of things feel better. Love you blog jx

Oh my, I know what you mean and we have not had nearly as much snow. I too harboured romantic snow bound dreams for many years but as I find myself pouring jug after jug of water on my car window in the mornings and then discovering that there is ice on the inside too I begin to feel a bit less romantic about snow.
