snow blindness....

after a night of heavy snow we woke up to a brilliant sunny day - it was a day for sunglasses as the glare off the new crisp snow was indeed blinding!

it looked so beautiful.... fields of soft new snow with only a few bird footprints....
then i let out the dogs!!!

they ran and ran - think very quick bursts of mad speeding about and then back in to the warm - little and often has been the key to dog walks today...
they are all so much more relaxed this evening which is so wonderful to see ....

the brisk walking also helped me to get my act together....
out went the tree....

is there any sight sadder than an abandoned Christmas tree and two cold whippets ;)

it was touch and go if i would actually get the tree out the front door...

a very late night delivery of hay yesterday from a friend ....
i have been assured that the boot room is not the new hay storage room and it will be shifted soon... i just know that it will be there until every last scrap has been eaten - the pile will just get lower slowly and in the meantime man and beast will merrily drag it through the house!

but my mood could not be dampened as i found a pair of shoes that i purchased when my sister was here and happily wore them as indoor shoes all day - the ruffles made me smile :)

... folk have started to order goodies again and i spent time wrapping and admiring my new black twine.....

and on that note i must go and finish the rest of the orders as Stephen has generously offered to trek to the post office for me first thing in the morning x

I think the hay will work well as some added heat installation, just right for all these snowie days your having honey lol
Stephen knew what he was doing LOL
Hope you all ok. I keep checking on the bbc weather they it's going to last about 10 for us here. Sigh!
Looks like the whippies are enjoying it now. Is it hard to spot Mabel moo in it?
Your parcels look fabulous very posh. I'd be very happy if Mr postie dropped one of them on my door mat.
Loving the new shoes, you can never have too many polka dots I say.
Thanks for your lovely message, hope to speaks soon. Keep warm and safe.
Hugs,

we are in for another snow. I am dreading it. Had my first snow day off in 8 years last week :( Too much ice on the roadway.
have a wonderful week.

I so love looking at the pictures of your babies, what a lovely little family. I have a dear old 16 yr old girl (fox terrier) who is not as energetic as she used to be so i do enjoy your photos.

Hi Tracy,
just popping in to wish you a very happy new year and for all your wishes to come true x

our tree was very sad when we put it out the front door last night - spineless!... the needles had mostly dropped off and to avoid huge mess throughout the house we had hoovered off the rest before removal... which the girls thought was such fun.

i love your photos too especially the one of the parcels ... i would be so delighted to receive a parcel wrapped so beautifully that i wouldn't even care what was inside.

wishing you warm fingers and toes xxx
with love

Love the hay storage looks a bit like our entrance hall which is currently full of poney nuts, honey chop & soaking sugar beet so House & Garden / Country Living I don't think!

Hello lovely lady. Thank you for my birthday wishes and the deep excitement I felt at your Crofter yarn questions!!! I think I am obsessed though I must put on my blog that the very first place I spotted this gorgeous wool was on your blog Tracy, so you are responsible for my addiction! I haven't got the booklet but want, want it so much. The tank top pattern wasn't in it and I bought it as a seperate pattern - Sirdar Crofter DK pattern no: 9248. I got it in our local (very) little wool shop but I think Kemps online sell it or The Black Wool Shop online. Let me know if you have a problem and I will get one for you in ours.

Phew, will go now, but love your shoes and your beautiful packaging. xx

Love the black twine! Does the post office let you send the parcels with it on? Mine told me it was against their regulations as parcels can get trapped on machinery.
