catch of the day....

caught by the great mouser... bean.....

rescued from the jaws of death in the nick of time......

whisked away and placed in a box so careful observation in case of injury, much staring open mouthed at the wonder of nature, and general cooing undertaken.....

frustrated bean then spent the next twenty minutes sniffing the ground where her latest catch once was......

once completely sure that "almost a tasty snack" was in tip top condition...

released....

to hopefully live another day.....
in the same spot where he/she was rudely captured....

just in case he/she has family waiting......

another snippet of my day.....

whilst i was left at home washing and hanging out yet more dog blankets and towels (talulla likes to keep a very clean house), my darling trundled off to collect sheep food, iodine spray for forthcoming lambs navels, and tasty treats for us.....

upon his return....

me :: any chance that you have hidden the large amount of chocolate that you must have purchased?

him :: i did not buy any chocolate

me :: (after a long shocked pause...) none?

him :: nope...

me :: but it is almost Easter - how could you not buy any chocolate, not even mini eggs?

him :: i brought you some garibaldi's.......

me :: i have nothing to say, nowt, zilch....

only a man can think that a bloody garibaldi biscuit can compare to a large bag of chocolate mini eggs....

Well Actually...I have just got back from shopping where I purchased a packet of Garibaldi's which I am currently eating, in fact... there are only half left... and I bought NO Eggs. That is for Tommorow when I arrive for Egg shopping at seven am.
Still at least I am not sharing my Garibaldi with an English S S dog now as it's all off-that's todays story anyhoo. Shame I was up til three am emailing good people like yourself for tips and mentally changing my flat around
(as well as making a full Mental health Assessment of a displaced ESS's needs and a shopping list of favourite foods, toys and relaxation music for dogs)..
Oh well, I'll just have to get a dog of my own now...there seems to be a dog-shaped space....
What a lovely mouse. Is Bean trying to Wow you with an offering of her own I'm asking?

What planet do they live on!! Our eggs have been eaten twice over already and the cost of the replacements make them the dearest Easter eggs on the planet! Dev X

Only a man indeed ... It made me laugh though, so thanks for that. Do you think he was telling porkies and there's some chocolate eggs lurking somewhere?

I thought you were going to say that Bean had eaten them. I took the precaution of buying my own eggs this morning.

Happy Eatser to you and Stephen honey.
Wishing you some Easter treats and lots of sunshine.

A dry biscuit full of raisins - beats choccly any day. I would have sulked and then searched his pockets.

Thanks for your lovely message Tracey. Hope you have a lovely Easter. The wee boy is still so very very cute, so I can understand you watching and watching.

Men just don't understand do they?

And a note for Twinkle lady.....'lovely mouse????' That is not what you say when I post pics on my blog of the beautiful little cratures that I rescue from our Kitties!!! I thought you were petrified of them!!! (or have you been working on your phobia?)

P.S. I'd love a garibaldi too

That little mouse is so tame (and cute!!!). I always thought wild mice would bite if you try to handle them. Jake, despite being a Jack Russell, is a terrible mouser. He just watches them scuttle by.

btw...I laughed so hard at your Garibaldi story I almost choked on my tea. You got yourself a true blue red blooded man there...lol...be grateful tho, I didn't even get biscuits! x
