glorious giveaways!

i have been a very lucky lady recently.......

this first prize is one that i loved as soon as i saw it but had no idea how important it would become in my everyday life!!!
this gorgeous little tweedy hottie is from this lovely lady - FIELDY

now - this is no ordinary hottie - not only does it sit tucked up in my bed waiting for me, but it also joins me tucked inside my coat, every evening , in the dead of the night, when i make the final check on the sheep and ponies before bed.
it is the perfect size and looks wonderful when not being cuddled!
i feel that i need a stash of these for when guests come to stay at Sea House - what could be nicer than a walk in the hills with a hottie tucked up in your coat and the promise of a meal straight out of the Rayburn on your return......

hurry up and arrive Autumn - here in the Highlands we are still waking up each day to brilliant sunshine and very little rain - i can however feel the nights becoming a little cooler, which is why my hottie has become such a faithful friend.

i love the items that appear from the hands of this talented lady - the colours and textures are so beautiful and everything that appears on her blog is an item that i could happily find a home for.

my other wonderful package arrived from a fellow blogger that i have never met but so wish that i could...
we all have virtual friends that just seem to touch a place in our soul that others do not - this is one of mine - Pebbledash

i have never been the sort of person that buys really good quality paper for letter writing, to be honest i have always just grabbed a card from my shop...
then this package of delights arrived - the quality and feel of these cards and tags are beautiful, you do just want to hold them and never write a word upon them.

they made me feel the need to rush out and buy a fountain pen, as using a Biro would be just awful!
also inside this generous parcel was a pack of hand printed tissue paper - i will admit it now Diana - this paper will never be used - it is just too beautiful!!!

......and the sweetest little handmade book - look at how perfect it is for me :)

after carefully unwrapping all these goodies, and can i just say this lady knows how to wrap a parcel - each item snuggled inside tissue with the neatest corners i have ever seen and each with a hand stamped sticker........
** sigh **
i came to my last gift - a tiny package with a red heart stamped upon it - i had no idea what it could be.......

my heart leapt when i looked inside
such a simple thing but so delicate, beautiful and so me!!

i have a passion for Sea Glass that i cannot explain - i have gathered it for years at every opportunity - squirreling it away with no idea what i will do with it apart from look at it

this little piece will never be tucked away, it will remain out on show where i can constantly be reminded of who it came from....

someone that i have never met
someone that has the kindest soul
someone that will never realise how much the note that she sent a few days after this parcel means to me....

thank you Diana so very much

Hello Tracy. Yes, I am a HUGE Diana fan too and it seems ludicrous that though we chat online we have never met, especially as we both live in Cornwall!!! Those gifts are truly gorgeous and I love the sea glass too xx

You have been very very lucky, I am very jealous of the writing set as I love stationary.

The glass pebble is lovely, very much my kind of thing.

I posted about my Diana goodies today too!

The sea glass was such an unexpected surprise - so tiny, but so lovely.

Tracy! Thank you for bigging me up so much! I agree with you about the quality of Dianas' staionary - I was lucky enough to receive a card from her recently AND I was also lucky enough to be able to meet up with her in person during my recent visit to Cornwall - she is as lovely in real life as she appears in her blog! The sea glass is gorgeous!

Thanks so much Tracy! You're very lucky to have an original Fieldy creation. I too am known to wander round with a hottie! And I think all these comments are inspiring me to paint a little more sea glass, too. Diana x
