a new arrival......

no
not this little guy
we collect him on Sunday xx

this arrival was delivered by postie......
(no hope in fitting puppers in a jiffy bag - LOOK AT THE SIZE OF HIS FEET!!!)

a stripey leg and a waving arm.....

and a cheery little face!
my new clang clang doll had made it all the way North, through snow and gale force winds x

Twigs Pigs was instantly drawn to her - she was obviously the days nominated meeter and greeter (strict rota system drawn up weekly by mummy talulla)

the animals take it in turns to check out any newcomers..... frisk them for food, sniff their bottoms.......
you get the picture

little clang clang was instantly given the name Sally, sniffed, frisked and then underwent test number one.....
could she stand to see a ginger cat washing its backside?

quite frankly
no
Sally obviously came from a much more refined home where bum cleaning in public was not the norm!
she promptly covered her eyes with her super stylish hat , and wished she was anywhere but here.....

the team have a few more tests in line for the newcomer before she is accepted in to this slightly odd (some might say..) home of ours

i will keep you posted.

footnote: to the nice folk that are visiting next month.....
please do not worry - my animals have been given very strict instructions that they are not to frisk you or sniff your bee-hinds when you arrive!

This post reminds me of that old Jasper Carrott gag - he said he went round to a new girlfriend's house to meet her parents. Halfway through the visit, the dog started licking its bits. Trying to be funny, Mr Carrott said 'I wish I could do that' - to which the girlfriend's mother replied 'If you give him a biscuit, he might let you!'

Sorry to lower the tone of your lovely blog *blush*.

Hi Tracy,

So looking forward to meeting your new baby, he looks sooooo sweet!

Don't worry about the bum sniffing thing, Chrissie, our old collie, is very good at sticking her nose into EVERYONE'S crotch that comes to visit us, it's so embarassing!

Have a fab weekend!

I would be interested to know what the hairy newcomer makes of new arrivals. Miss Dog's cousin, Stellar, was not so kind to my lovely sister's vintage rabbit family when she was a puppy. I was sent an unfortunate photo of the carnage. Fabric, stuffing and limbs all over the spare bed. The worst was one poor bunny who had his little red trousers pulled down and had his fluffy tail ripped off.

Miss Dog sends a kissy lick to Beanie XXX

I have 2 of Sally's friend living with me - fab aren't they?
That little pupster is a cutie, hope he doesn't chew the house to pieces!

Cats licking their bottoms is refered to here as them doing their washing, or licking the cats banana.

The new puppy looks lovely - but my goodness, you're right - what ENORMOUS feet he's got!

I hope you've managed to collect him successfully today, and that you have lots of fun together. Also hoping that your poorly doglet is on the mend, too.

Poor puppy with the stitches! I hope healing happens quickly. And those are some monster paws on the new pup. Just discovered your blog from over at Mabel's House. Looking forward to reading more.
