The NEW Saturday night!

I am officially too old for dancing!!
And quite frankly i am glad - at the age of nearly 35 this is what i call the perfect Saturday night....

Our nearest beach - 30 min drive

One of my favourite ever pictures of the girls - i love the texture of the sand, the colours of the girls and the shadows - so beautiful xx

We feel very lucky to be this close to a sandy beach that is full of people all day in the summer but as soon as it gets to 6pm all the families leave to tuck babies into bed, and it leaves the beach empty except for a few dog walkers and sometimes folk having a BBQ.

On the craft front little work is being done except for the ripple - however i am never far away from my sewing threads and this is my latest notebook.
I think i will make some more with different images on - i feel inspired by the walk on the beach last night so there may be a Coastal feel coming up!!!

This picture is especially for gigibird - a picture of Twigs Pigs - watching the birds outside the front of the house this morning.
She is such a sweetie
See you all next week

Tx

Lovely beach Tracy, which one is it? I would love to walk our dogs there when it is quiet...

Fab pictures, love the beach and often go first thing before anyone arrives, or early evening when only the die hards remain.

Wow, that pic of your girls is gorgeous! Was away to see if your cushion is still for sale on your etsy shop but they are carrying out work on the site so will look back soon.

Tracy,
Lucky you to live so near the coast, it sounds like a perfect Saturday evening :)
Thanks for visting my blog, I've added yours to my list of favourites. Isn't crochet so cool, a few of my friends are starting to get interested now that I've started a blanket, my cousin and I are planning our own Stitch and Bitch evening once a week which is another perfect way to spend time don't you think?!
Books are exciting too, I keep adding to my shopping basket at Amazon, I NEED to have those books NOW! Sadly they're not top of the list of essentials right now so I'll have to be patient :(

Thank you for showing me lovely Twiggs:)
Because I live less than 250 yards from the beach I get quite territorial about it - but early or late is best when you own a dog who barks at children!

Lovely pictures. My kind of Saturday night too!

I grew up next to the sea - at Gullane in East Lothian - with good flat sandy beaches. Ours in the winter, before 10 am and after 8 - unbearable with beach towels any other time.

I've swapped that for hills but in Scoptland there isn'trealy anywhere more than an hour's drive from a good beach.

The girls look very art deco.

The girls are very elegant aren't they? They are the supermodels of the dog world!
i've just borrowed that vintage fabric book from the library. It's lovely.

Beautiful pictures. I live just a couple steps from the sea. Sometimes I think the sea keeps me sane. There's room to breathe by the sea. Your blog is lovely.

Beautiful images that you captured!

Hi Tracy, a lovely post. I can't wait to see the pig too!!

Thanks for coming by my blog - did you see your spotty pink ribbon on the pinny of the previous post. I've used it all up on the apron for Angie in Canada. Looks like I'll have to come by the website and buy some more, it's great stuff!

You are never too old for dancing!! The photographs are beautiful though especially the one of Bean and Tallula, beaches in the evening or very early morning are wonderful places - those are the times that Bilbo and I go when we are at our home on the coast. Tides permitting of course, the sea comes right up to the sea wall at high tide.

Tracey, your dogs are beautiful and the view of that lovely beach isn't so bad either.

Ok so I thought that I had left a comment on your blog, and have only just discovered that I didn't, that doesn't make me a dappy old fool - does it?
Anyway, I think that your latest post is lovely, I too love to go to a deserted beach on a saturday night, much better than sitting in a smelly old pub. (We are very bad parents and do not take the little one home to bed, but snuggle her up in her pushchair).
Thanks for your comms on my blog question
