The January Dresser

Firstly can i say thank you to all you lovely ladies that have taken the time to take a peep at my life through this blog - it means so much to read your lovely comments xx
Now back to January........
I am an Autumn and Winter girl and i really do not enjoy the hot Summers (hence the future move to the very North of Scotland!), so January and February do not really make me feel down and out.
I actually enjoy re-doing the house and shop after Christmas, and look forward so much to all the bright fresh new Spring stock. Lots of new cushions, hearts, covered notebooks and spotty kitchen essentials are winging their way to the shop and website as we speak - so i really do have a huge amount to smile about xx
I hope that this picture of my January Dresser at home will help to make you all smile today if you are suffering from the January gloom. All it needs now is a bunch of Tulips which i will buy tomorrow and then it will be complete .........until February!!!!!!

Love the dresser and all the spring coloured china, a real cheer up. I definately agree about the flowers, I had some tulips in for christmas and some forced tete a tete, it just keeps you going through the gloom.

Great dresser! I like re doing the house in January too. It feels like a nice clean start. I love to go the whole hog and redecorate too.

I love the dresser. It looks really lovely all dressed in spring colours. My tree isn't down yet but as soon as it is I'm buying tulips too. I love to get lots of spring flowers once the Christmas things come down. Although I'm not really a winter person, I do love the Spring so I'm already feeling excited about it being on it's way even though it's a way off yet. The new things for your website sound lovely, I'll go take a look.

I love the pastel coloured plates. We're hanging on to Winter here with silvers, whites, dark greens and blues...but I am looking forward to the pastel/ spring coloured crockery that I have deep in the pantry. I'll wait for the tulips...we have winter pansies all outside and a few single ones in pots painted by the kids inside. (Where's my camera!?)
Hope the sun is shining with you...

Love the dresser. It has made me so excited for spring and reminded me of tulips and daffodills.

Hi, just found your blog through Little Cotton Rabbits. The dresser looks lovely. My Dad used to have a light green Ford Anglia estate when we were children in the late 60s or early 70s.

Hi Zoe
So glad that you have found my blog - going via little cotton rabbits blog is always a treat (one of my favourite blogs!)
I will post a picture of my sweet little car next week and hopefully it will bring back some happy childhood memories!

LOVE your dresser. It all looks so pretty. You're very lucky to be moving to Scotland. Not sure our move to Surrey is rural enough for me, but we'll have to wait and see.
