Wholey Moley!
...sorry, terrible joke!

I thought that moles were meant to taste horrible - maybe Bean swallowed it before noticing.
Minou catches moles all the time here - one for him, one for Jasmine - in fact he stands over Jasmine, forcing her to dig up the mole hills. The moles are more gruesome playthings than food though,

Did the poor little critter poke its nose out of a hole to check the weather, only to have the jaws of a whippet bear down on it? I've never seen a mole. We don't have them here. How big are they? I'm guessing not very big, unless whippets have the expandable jaws of a boa constrictor!

lol I know I shouldn't laugh but it's just the way you've written. Head first! poor little thing, I guess it didn't feel any pain just down in one go. Yum yum says Bean.

Where I used to work the garden's whippet tried to eat the pet guinea. They where cleaning it out and the bottom of the hutch fell out and the whippet was watching and well lets just say it was a fast as a whippet lol
and ran off with it, with all of us chasing him. Sadly the poor little thing died of fright and the dog never got his meal.
It's one of those times I will never forget, I didn't know weather to laugh or cry at it all.

Poor you having to watch that happen. Bean was just showing off, look Mum look what I can catch hehe!

yuck, well at least she didn't give to you as a present and expect you to eat it; one of our cats brought me a tasty mouse as a treat last week, dropped it right next to the chair where I was sitting........

I bet she was SO pleased with herself? Mabel rolls birds to death, on her back. It's the wierdest, grossest thing. But she's always so proud.
