you may want to shield your eyes.........

the first of our new arrivals will be with us shortly
and then it suddenly dawned on me that you all no doubt think we are going to have fields full of cute sheep and then even cuter lambs
well...............

meet the Boreray sheep

handsome!

i guess you immediately thought
will you look at the horns on that

believe me you ain't seen nothing yet.......

i give you the Manx Loaghtan

scary, ugly or just so cool???

i am currently running scared..........

as i explained to Philip earlier today, i imagined moving to our land, becoming a crofter, and having fields full of sweet and beautiful livestock

not having fields full of creatures that are scary enough to stop traffic!

ah well
we have two miniature donkeys coming to boost our cuteness x

Is that a boy one? It's a handsome beast and I would stay on my side of the fence at feeding time with that one I think..xxx

Hmmm... very impressive horns! I agree with katie twinkles. Definitely one to be feeding from over the gate!

My immediate reactions were that the first is very handsome, in the same way that one can admire a well cultivated and tended moustache. The second is the equivalent of a ridiculous moustache. Actually, it looks like an alien!

Can't wait to see your sheep - I'm sure they will be very cute.

Take care :-) x

I love your sheep - they have character! Hope your sister had a nice birthday, she looks very happy with her decidedly handsome new man. The dog on wheels is so cute, I don't thi nk they make nice things like that for children these days more's the pity. So much nicer than all the plastic rubbish on offer these days.

The horns will at least give you something to hang onto when moving them about - our pig repeatedly escaped last week (lawyers letters in the post seemingly) and catching it was a nightmare - a few horn handles would have been very useful,

I think they're kind of cute in their own special way. Wouldn't want to get near those horns though!

They are cute in a don't mess with me kind of way. Just back away slowly and leave the food hehe!
I'm sure they are all warm and cuddly.

I have been catching up and it has been lovely to read all your posts.
So many new things, Tallulahs birthday photos were lovely.
The sheep wow, I must admit they are scary but I'm sure that they have a lovely personality.

Your new life in scotland sounds lovely, keep showing us photos of the lovely scenery.

Definitely they rank high on the "cool" scale! I wouldn't say scary, unless they are charging towards you! =) Do you have to tend to their horns at all; I'm thinking back to the days when I had a guinea pig and had to keep his nails clipped so they wouldn't curl under his little feet and hurt him.
