for elspeth....

dearest elspeth...

this post is for you x

you made me laugh when i had given up all hope of ever laughing again..

you made me believe that there was an end in sight with this house build...

you gave me so much more than i ever thanked you for...

i will miss our chats on all things "hound"..

... and whilst we will now never get to fulfill our cunning plan of playing dog cupid i will always dream of the puppers that should have been....

thank you for being my truly magical, supportive and inspirational cyber friend...

it is with much shock and sadness that Elspeth Thompson passed away on Thursday..
my heart is torn in two for the pain her dear husband Frank and sweet daughter Mary must be going through..

How so very tragic for her beloved family, personally I loved her gardening columns in the Telegraph and of course her books.

And what a lovely tribute to your friend.

RIP Elspeth

So sad. I've heard of so many 'too young' deaths this week. Makes one be so thankful for what one has.

Thank you Tracy for writing this. I was so shocked and sad to read of Elspeth's passing when I checked her blog yesterday. A life lived to the full, and yet sadly only halfway though. I treasure the comments she left me on my blog and the occasional email. She was such a beautiful soul. My heart goes out to Frank and Mary. She will be missed by so many.

hello T,
Isn't this just awful news? very, very tragic.
So many inner problems must have been hidden behind Elspeth's cheery facade and seemingly beautiful life. When I read her blog this morning, oblivious to last weeks sad events, I immediately thought of you as I had often seen your messages on her posts about the hounds.
I have some of her books and they are so inspirational. She is a loss to the world.

Thinking of you too x
