finally...

the excitement is almost too much....

stephen and i are smiling from ear to ear....

as well as the good sheep news we had yesterday we have yet more glee....

after almost two years we think we have found girlfriends for our dear sweet old rodders...

he is a majestic castlemilk morit who is the only ram left in his particular line... in rare breed terms he is a v.i.p..

and today we had confirmation of a lady in Perthshire who has ewes available ... ewes from a great line..

we are happy..

and rodders will be very happy...

very happy indeed!

back to craft delights tomorrow

promise

Wow! You know what? I'm excited too! This is just too neat!

We had disheartening news. We were thinking that we would be able to buy lambs this year but we just got our first estimate on the new roof. Maybe something better will turn up but I don't know - how will we be able to afford the fencing?

Now, be prepared to be amazed at our brilliance. It's always funny to me when Tom calls me from the state fair or a farm or anywhere that he's scoping the field (get it? "scoping the FIELD"? ahem) and trying to glean wisdom about raising sheep. I can hear so many unique sheep voices drowning him out. It's like they're trying to grab the phone away and tell me something. Well, after many attempts at getting the right sheep's bleet, we've realized that the acoustical difference between sheep and goats is that sheep stick their tongues out when they speak! I told you you'd be amazed at our wisdom. (Whereas, when I speak, my tongue is firmly in my cheek!)

Love, Kate

Packing your bags is very wise foresight - I shall put the kettle on directly - but - NO MORE FLUFF! I need hearty scones and my tea in a big mug - strong tea that is! Doesn't that sound pleasant?!

Thanks for stopping by but don't ever fret about needing to respond. You communicate just wonderfully through your posts!

Love, Katy Noelle xo = )
