ghillie the vegetable thief....

if only i had my camera on me today - i had taken the bowl of veggie peelings out to the compost, my attention got diverted by the ducks and i left bowl on top of Anglia bonnet....

later today i popped out to collect logs, shut ducks in and what do i see.....?

ghillie mcdog standing on the car bonnet merrily eating peelings!!

standing on my vintage car....

dear lordy i did shout...

but how do you tell off a large hound that has a savoy cabbage leaf hanging out the side of its mouth...

seriously....

well dear readers it would seem that you do not tell them off at all - ack..
now he will think it is a game and my Anglia will be scratched to bits...
i am rubbish at discipline which is why my dogs run rings round me...
rings i tell ya...

a better behaved dog has also been on my mind lately....

this cute wee chap is part of my new Spring range...
available as soon as my website is finished...

soonish then :)

Haha that made me laugh, I had to read it out to DH who also laughed. Is he an Irish Wolfhound? He sure looks big in the photo on your sidebar.

LOL well honey at least you can safely say he's getting his 5 a day lol
But your poor beautiful car, she won't be happy, i'm sure he weights a stone or two.

I can't wait to see your new website. Don't forget that if you need anything Ben's already been chating to Stephen and is happy to help lovely lady.

The doggie on the sewing looks a lot less mischievous hehe.
Are you carrying on with blogging everyday through Feb? this month has been so so lovely to hear from you everyday. If you do I'll join in the quest for a blog a day too.
With love,

There must be something in the air for hounds and food lately. I used to give my veggie peelings to the chickens but it seems my chickens are far too posh for left overs and they never eat them, however the dogs are not proud and they always gobbled the peelings up. I thought this was just a case of dog in a manger but it seems not as not when I'm cooking the dogs get all the peelings and love them like a huge treat, very very strange but hey ho life is fun with dogs and their mad ways! Oh this made me laugh - Walter will happily eat brussels sprout peelings, celeriac (but not celery), cabbage (red or green)...the list goes on and on. Admittedly I feed him a raw food diet, but he will dive into a pile of peelings with gusto, no meat or other goodies required.

Good old Ghillie - no waste with him around, but then no compost either!!
