christmas day in january....

we are well in to christmas day # two and what a lovely day it has been.....

we have tried to ignore the signs of Spring....

... even when they shouted at us....

... i tried to disguise all signs of a new season with a festive christmas moose and a tree....

not too sure i pulled it off....

we sat by a roaring wood burner and drank tea and cuddled whippets....

... and ate chocs.....

i made a huge veggie roast dinner which included braised red cabbage....

seems i made enough to last the whole of next week...

enough for
each
and
every
day......

we had candle light and crackers....

and yes we wore paper hats...

yay :)

and now we are doing this....

clearly talulla is an expert.....

merry christmas to one and all

Is there a rule of no Christmas in January? Wasn't Jesus born in January anyway? I'm not sure really. We haven't taken down our tree yet. I haven't the heart since we really didn't get to enjoy it much. I'll take it down this week maybe. Merry Christmas!

I am having a bit of a problem parting with my Christmas cards, perhaps I'll collage them like my niece does. Anyway I think it's liberating to save up Christmas til you feel like it :-))
