thrift catch up

hello, hello....

today i shall be breezing in and out rather promptly i am afraid....
much, much to do and it is already halfway through the day and all i have achieved is wrapping of orders, cleaning puppy wee (toilet training NOT going well),and chasing puppers around the house as he has discovered the art of stealing whatever is not either nailed down or up very high.... oh yes dear friends he can now leap great heights on to beds and chairs when a crime needs to be committed....
so far today he has aquired by dastardly means....

one roll of ribbon
one roll of sellotape
one dvd minus its case
one pile of cat poo
one lump of coal
a selection from the bin that is used for items ready to be popped in the compost bin
the phone handset
the remote control.........
a packet of ginger nut biscuits
a pair of pants (used - yuk)

for crying out loud people i have not even got to lunchtime and i feel as if i have ran a marathon!

so i am way behind on the old to do list and a rather important task is sitting at the top - the entire side of our plot of land needs to be dog proofed.... we thought this had been achieved by our careful placing of large rocks along the fence line, but it seems that our whippets have the gift of extreme shrinking powers.... talulla, bean and mabel all escaped in to our neighbours field this morning - before today it had just been the ever so crafty (and slim) bean....
the problem has to be solved today as if the gang manage to get through our neighbours fence and then through to the next field the farmer will shoot to kill :(
as i type the girls are confined indoors with only wee breaks on their leads, and stephen is out buying the equipment needed to barricade the naughty trio in...

so for today's eye candy i give you a selection of my latest thrifty finds....

the best teapot i have ever, ever owned....

not very old but that can be forgiven when it is adorned with birds and flowers......

and was the amazing price of only £4.00 and came with six matching mugs!

and pours well x

another beautiful coffee pot to add to my ever growing collection....

possibly the find of the week was a set of cups and saucers that match the coffee set that i found a few weeks ago....

how lucky?

and finally for today - a set of soft duck egg blue espresso cups and saucers - very, very pretty...

just a small selection of my finds - i have been lucky in the thrifty department lately and do plan on selling a few bits and pieces on via my shop - hopefully i will get that organised this week :)
i fear that if i do not part with some i will become a single animal parent - stephen is starting to phone when i am out and telling me to walk away from the charity shop.......

right that's me done.....
except for maybe a quick peek at that handsome young puppers .....

here he is getting used to wearing a collar...

very dashing :)

They are such a handful as pups. My old kitchen table legs had the ends chewed off by the boys! And what is it with dirty underwear? yuck.
The tea pot is so pretty. I have only one now and I'm half afraid to bring it out since the kids have broken all the others. How amazing is it to find the matching cups for the other pot?
I'd love to go thrifting but noone around here wants to do anything but sleep their days away. I'll be with you in spirit.
Give the little gremlin an ear stratch for me!

I'm trying but I can't get the vision of a pile of cat poo being acquired out of my head...not even the lovely thrift finds are helping!!!!

Your young pup is beautiful...and your thrift finds are fantastic! Are the pale blue set Utility china per chance?

i'd love to know where you thrift! :D what a great find. We just got a new baby kitten four days ago so I can (somewhat) feel your pain for the over zealous curiosity of baby animals!
