playing with paper....

the sock knitting has ground to a halt

the crochet granny squares have become a little tedious

my dear old sewing machine is not running at her best

...... so my eye has been drawn towards my stash of papers....

what a lovely time i have had cutting, painting, glueing, hand stitching and rummaging around in numerous tins for little scraps and treasures....

i have made quite a few more and will show you these soon - needless to say they are a completely useless item to own, but they are tactile, interesting and in my humble opinion rather lovely to have hanging around the place.....

i especially love this one....

a complete one off
never to be repeated
a little treasure......

talking of treasures.....

this picture was taken just after i had administered worming paste to cricket for the very first time....
and trimmed his nails....

he thought it was a truly awful experience and squeeked loudly....
i made sure to do it whilst his mama was outside playing with the others but clearly little cricket told tales on me....
as soon as she arrived back and heard of the hateful things that i had done she scooped that wee chap up and tucked him under her ample belly....

her face says it all...

Tracy,
I'm just loving the heart with the birds on, it so pretty.
They are all very lovely. It is nice to do something different for a change isn't it. I love making people brooches and even just sewing back on a button does it for me lol
I sometimes see dots in my sleep lol

I'm sure T will forgive you honey, she knows your just doing it for little Crickets good really, she's just being a totally wonderful Mama. That face is very cross but I'm sure a kiss on the nose will sort it out X
Molly's here with me, Ben and Daisy have gone up the allotments with Fern next door. And Molly's playing a game of name all your doggies. I click on one and she calls out their name. Bless her she knows them all now.
Have a lovely weekend, you order is well and truely on it's way to being finished now honey. I'll email you an invoice soon.
Love,
Catherine x
