giddy with excitement

the last week has flown past in a blur of gazing at cricket, painting, arrival of boris and just keeping house....





this week looks as if it is set to be as busy so my posts may become less wordy and just be full of pictures - these can happily upload whilst i paint windows :)

but first a catch up is needed....

cricket continues to grow and grow which is not surprising as he is an only pup on rather a lot of nipples!





boris the boreray ram joined us last week and is settling in well - rodders is not too sure about the new stud on the block, but we do hope in time that they can live together without too much head butting - i will pop some pictures over at Sea House later ....

the ewes are all expanding sideways and spending most of the day laying down - not long to go....
the race to order, construct and kit out the lambing shed has begun - it will be a small miracle if we get it all done in time but we will have a jolly good go!

all doglets are well - miss mabel moo is obsessed with cricket - everytime he snuffles or squeaks she is there.... as soon as talulla leaves for a break mabel is in that bed gazing lovingly at the wee lad - she has given him a good sniff but dares not lick him just in case she gets told off by talulla :)





she looks so sweet, kind and protective over him but i am sure that it is just a smokescreen..... whta she actually see's is the opportunity to corrupt the poor lad at an early age and teach him to become a bandit just like her......

the ponies are enjoying the dry weather as they were wading through mud at various times over the winter....



the only downside to Spring is that the grass is so sweet and lush which can lead to a horrid condition called laminitis - we are restricting their time out in the large field - much to their disgust


as for us?
we are totally knackered at the end of each day and yet we both look at the progress on the house and wonder just what we have been doing - all the little jobs seem to take so long - especially painting windows which i now realise is the worst job ever




we are slowly getting there and we have such a wonderful deadline to work to....
my gorgeous parents are coming to stay next month and i cannot tell you how excited i am - stephen keeps looking at me with horror when i speak about it as i seem to suddenly turn in to a four year old with a squeaky voice and a spring in my step!




i cannot remember a time when i had both my parents totally to myself, not having to share them with siblings or extended family

i may just lock them in and not let them leave..............

anyhoo - back to the painting i must go
