cricket hunts down his first rabbit

cricket is now three weeks old and is just starting to look and act like a whippet :)

yesterday he hunted down and caught his very first rabbit....

it was a highly skilled, well thought out and stylish affair....

firstly the prey was noticed....

then the whippet instinct took over and the first move was made albeit on rather wobbly legs!

the catch was made in an instant...

no messing around......

dragged back in to the nest.....

and chewed!

i can just feel his first teeth coming through when he is using my fingers as his teething ring..
mama talulla may need to start thinking about letting him wean on to solid foods which i think is going to be a little bit of a shock to her - she is already fretting that he can actually now crawl out of the nest and take a few wobbly steps - she really does not like this newly independent side to her puppers!

he is often told off for walking and quickly rolled over for a belly wash....

which up until yesterday cricket tolerated...

but whilst i was gazing in on the pair of them, much to my great amusement little tiny cricket wriggled and wriggled, managed to get himself upright again and out of his tiny little body came a noise that was not a growl or a squeak but something inbetween the two!

he was sitting upright in front of his mama telling her off :)

three weeks old and already head strong

he may look cute as a button but i fear that he is going to be a handful!!!!!!

I don't know you get anything done around your home. He's too cute for words and sounds like he's a determined boy like his daddy. I love watching him grow. Thank you!

That look in his eye is very telling, what a beautiful pup, and with attitude. Indeed, how do you get things done with such cuteness going on.

And it sounds like your letting your mama know too.
Cute little button, i love reading all about you, don't grow up to fast little fella, enjoy all the mama time and get in extra snuggles when you can from Mama Tracy too.
Little kisses for that very button nose.

Hi Tracy,
I can empathise with Mum. Poor Dulcie is getting the same treatment from the kittens. She wants them in one room where she can see them, and they want to be exploring the house!

Hi there, I was just wondering, do you know of anyone who is looking for a swap partner? I am longing to join in on this swapping lark, so any help you could give me would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks So Much
