knit , crochet or shovel?

oh - the dilemma......

a delivery from here of delicious yarns....

another few balls for my granny squares which i am loving ...

and these beauties which are destined to become a round crocheted cushion for our yet to be ordered sofa...

Orkney Angora... soft, soft, soft and no bunnies were harmed in the making.....

so

do i granny square?

start the soft round cushion?

or carry on with my new obsession....

socks

how wonderful is this yarn?
pretty, soft and a joy to knit with
who could ask for more?

the colour reminds me so much of the large stones that run along one edge of our land - local legends say that it is the stone from the now derelict castle that once sat proudly opposite

choices, choices......

and to make it worse the sun has been shining for the last few days and the sky has been the most perfect blue.....
which tells me that i should really be wheelbarrowing this huge mountain of stone in to the pony paddock so that they are not ankle deep in mud........

i know - its a shocker!!

i may be gone a few days ......

Ooh, such lovely yarny goodness! Maybe you ought to think about adding some angora rabbits to your furry family - you could grow your own yarn!

The socks look lovely too - is that Crofter yarn? (How apt!) I've just finished some wrist warmers in that, and it's so soft and snugggly and warm!

Good luck with lugging all that stone .... mind your back!

Oh socks then cushions I think, granny sqaures sweetie.
Loving the wool it looks sooo soft.
Wow stones from a castle, i bet if that land could talk it would have a fair few tales to tell lol
I'd help with the moving of the gravel, it would be good and would help shift some of this muffin tummy I'm sporting this Winter lol
And i love getting my hands dirty, they're normally covered in paint hehe!
Speak soon, big hugs,

Socks, definitely. Then you still have time to wear them this winter. The cushion can be done anytime.

Btw, that sock yarn is gorgeous.

Oh I'm definitely an 'eat your greens first' girl. I'd be shoveling rocks for an hour early in the day and then feel justified to ignore the whole over-whelming job for the rest of the week! t.x

Lovely , lovely yarn!

I have been collecting 'wool' from Ted our angora since last September and do not know what to do with it. If you know someone who can spin you are more than welcome to it. You could make 'Ted' socks!! He is a lovely sandy colour.

As the sun is shining, I'd do a little shoveling first and then move on to the socks. Its Scotland afterall and you know that shovelling in the rain would be horrible. The yarn is just beautiful. Enjoy your day - jacqui
