start as you mean to go on.......

that is my motto for the start of another year......

i have, of course, already failed at this - but i am hopeful of jumping right back on that train of positive thought soon.......

just as soon as the weather warms up a bit........

so
apart from my lack of New Year spirit i am in fact enjoying what 2009 has offered so far - a lovely slow start to a year full of possibilities and life changes - i wake slowly, rise slowly and progress through the day slowly..... my only fear is that my body is set at slow permanently!

my head is full of lists of ideas for the house, my little business and my craft interests - but i am struggling to settle on any one project - hopefully this will come with time.

2009 must be a slower paced year for us, anything faster will probably kill us both - we need this year to settle in to a new life, new routines, learn new skills and above all else have a home life once again.

what else arrives with all this is any ones guess - but that is what makes life exciting - right?

i am bracing myself for more downs than ups - i never used to be like this - i was always a glass half full kind of girl, but since starting this build i am firmly installed in the glass half empty camp... maybe this will also change with time?

the start of this year sees me with no New Year resolution list - i am going down the lets take it as it happens route.......
face each day and its challenges without screaming or crying, taking time to look at my beautiful, beautiful animals without fearing that i may lose them at any moment, looking forward to spending more time with precious friends and family......

if 2008 has taught me anything it is to just stop and look at what you have already got - do you actually need anything else?

Hello there, I firmly believe that if you cannot sit in the garden and smell your flowers, you may as well not have them. This is a generalisation, of course, but essentially, if you cannot slow down and enjoy what you have, then what's the point? Dev X

Here's to a great year for you and your gorgeous pets! My daughter thinks your poockes are "lush" as the kdis say here in Walesxxx

Who was it who said 'it'll be alright in the end and, of it's not alright, it's not the end...?

or Life is not about getting what you want but about wanting what you've got?

My very own favouritet ditty is 'fine words butter no parsnips' so perhaps I should just shutit :-))

But hey I think if you can get your head around any of those , well, it'll be a few minutes that you haven't thought about the naughty Sea House xxx HNY 2009 tho xx

Fast, slow, does it matter? It'll happen in the end, and if it doesn't, then it wasn't going to anyway!

Just take your time and enjoy being you again.

Think I've already said it, but Happy New Year, just in case I didn't.
