if my legs were not so hairy i would wear a bikini......

o.k,

o.k,

it is not quite that warm here..... but it is warmer than it was - hurrah!
the stove is chugging along nicely eating lots of wood and making lots of piping hot water...
until moving here i underestimated the sheer joy of turning on a tap and running your hands through warm water.....
no more boiling a kettle and filling a sink to wash my hands in before i pop to the loo.... nope - just pee, wash and go for us now :)

a little too much info perhaps........

apart from the Rayburn hugging today i have also achieved a little painting, a little cooking and a little shopping.....
a small yarn order has been placed and i will be waiting with baited breath with my eager crochet hook in my hand - not quite sure what to make..... scarf, cushion cover, another ripple blanket or a granny one?
time will tell

whilst i wait for the postie i will continue with my samples for this years stock - a new range that is quite different from the items i have made in the past - i have plans afoot, but slowly, slowly...

i also have the veggie garden to be getting on with - i will try to remember to take pictures in the morning and give you all a run down of our rather ambitious plans!!!
thinking about it - how nice will it be to document the growth of the Sea House veggie plot on the blog
mmmm
perhaps over on the Sea House blog......
see you over there tomorrow??
lovely :)

I love how dogs can just get comfortable anywhere. As long as there's a warm body, they'll take any position to get near it. It's great! Such a cute picture. I really enjoy all the little stories and pictures about the animals.

Hey, I'm taking part in a Pay it Forward giveaway. Check it out!

Happy New(ish) Year to you all up at the Sea House! Oh how I'm envying your Rayburn these cold days - warming your backside on a radiator just isn't the same!

Do you want me to send you up a bic razor so you can sort out those legs and thrill Stephen with that bikini you mentioned??

;)

I totally understand your feelings re-Rayburn, I have had one for 19 years now and would hate to be without it, lashings of hotwater and always a kettle on just about to boil, but I expect its even more of a luxury for you since you have been without all of that for awhile now.
Anyway Happy New Year to you and yours I'm sure even with all the work still to be done it will be better than last year!!!

I love it when you post Tracy, you always leave us waiting with baited breath for the nextinstalment that you promise. What would I do without you. I would also like to say that I can't even speak the word warm over here in french freezing france at the moment. It is so cold and there has been no break in the frost for EVER!! minus 11 in the early mornings so budge over I need a seat by the rayburn
