circus ponies....

i am contemplating sending the chaps off to join the circus......

this year they have quickly set themselves up a new daily ritual....

i let them out in the morning, we play pony Russian roulette (Sea House blog), Woody has a good old scratch on anything he can find - me, a post or the fence made wonky by all his scratching.....
Dillon runs around shouting which is clearly "his thing".......
and once this part of their day is complete they go on a little visit......

now - we can be anywhere in the house but we still hear the arrival of our "visitors"....
they make sure we do

if we are close by we hear the hoof steps (!) on the temporary ramp up to the house....
if we are a little further away we here a slight rubbing against the door.....
however if we dare to have the radio on and have not responded to the hoof steps and the polite rubbing, we then get the loud head banging!
they have also decided that i am not allowed to hang any willow hearts or greenery on the door - any such frippery is pulled off and deposited in the mud....

the chaps would like to point out, before their suitcases are packed that it is not their fault entirely.....
you see - i do have a tendency to feed them tasty banana pony treats each time they knock
guilty as charged :)
the trouble starts when we try to unload shopping from the car - never has a bag of groceries had to endure such a ravaging!

Oh just let them in :-) Can they fit by the Aga?-photos please. I always think there's never anything quite so nice as a horse in the house-or two.

Ah yes...rewarding bad behaviour!

My sister has this problem with her dogs and cookies. As soon as I get on the phone to her they bark...until she gives them a cookie to be quiet.

They train us SO easily. I cannot open the fridge with out Guineau pigs squeeling and I can only take one plate out of the cupborad at a time because 2 plates clanging together means the luxary of cat food from the can (not the dried stuff). They will bowl you over at the speed all six run to the kitchen...and then there is the clunk of the can opener.......

They are beauties! I'd love them to knock at my door any day. Maybe you need a stable door so they can hang their heads over the top in the Summer? Wouldn't that be lovely?

Oh bless those two.
They know they are onto a good thing with you guys. And they must just say to one another in the mornings, "come on the grubs this way" lol
Molly & Daisy just love the first photo of them both together, my studio was filled with lots of awwww's and can we stroke them Mummy?
Maybe one day i said but I'm sure they'd prefer a treat or 3 lol
Many hugs,
Catherine x
Ps: thanks for the tips on the S mag front, I've only sent them soem photos, no stock. Hope you get yours back soon honey. What a flaming cheek they have keeping it. Maybe someone there has fallen in love with it and can't bear to give it back. x

I agree with Phyllis - very hard to deny those wee cuties anything I would imagine!
So glad to see that you finally have some warmth!
