peeking out the other side.....

phew.......
and it is all over for another year.

i have to say that here at Sea House we had a rather lovely Christmas.......
cold but lovely

lots of happy dogs.....

and lots of happy cats......

the ponies enjoyed a breakfast platter of apples, pears, carrots, swede and pony sweeties....

and the sheep got a huge new pile of haylage - for what else can you give sheep?

the humans in the house have enjoyed a good few days of rest - no DIY at all :)
we have eaten our fill and had a much needed rest - but strangely we are both itching to get on with the build - floors to lay, massive bookcase to build etc etc.......
so enough with the slacking off and on with the house!!

amongst all the build up to Christmas i won a little giveaway.....
now - this was a giveaway that i could not believe that i would ever be lucky enough to win.....
a little slice of attic 24 - feast your eyes on this.......

for those that have not visited the lovely Lucy, then i insist that you do....
apart from her amazing creative side (will you look at those tiny, perfect stitches!), Lucy has the most wonderful home filled with love, colour and cheer - i have to confess to having been a lurker over there for months, popping in whenever i needed a splash of brightness and a smile x
it is the sort of blog that you will visit once and then have to go back and read from the very start - it envelopes you in a warmth that is hard to find on so many blogs .... this could be down to the amazing crochet blankets that seem to spring from Lucy's ever so clever hands, but in fact it all comes from the kind soul that is Lucy herself.

thank you sweet, sweet Lucy for my treasures - they have already become such an important part of Sea House xxxxx

so another Christmas over, the first for Sea House
here's to a fresh New Year filled with love, friendship, a completed house and two new additions to the household.........

yep
two
new
additions.......

i will tell you more soon!

Hi,

glad you enjoyed your Christmas time off, hope that this break will inspire you to do more and more on your house - I'm so jealous you've started building yours, well it's nearly done, isn't it? (I'm still stuck in the stage where all the plans have to be drawn and approved...). Anyway, wishing you all the best for 2009, be stubborn and don't give up!

Kristina

P.S. Just like your ponies I had swede this year for Christmas (for the very first time in my life!). We imported it from England, glad the customs didn't stop us and we could enjoy mashed swede with our roast! For some unknown reason we can't get it here in Lithuania...

I've just been looking at your sea house blog - gosh I have gone asparagus green with envy!! I so want to know a lot more about it!! I'll be catching up with your blog asap, so thank you for finding me!! As for the CK sewing box - I love it!! It was just very difficult to choose which of her lovely things I'd like - I already have most of the Tesco bags - two handbags from last years sale..... sigh.... so as I'd treated myself to her thread tin (really good bargain as it's full of reels of sewing thread) and her button box (oh, and her pins tin) - I thought I'd ask for the sewing basket! I just keep looking at it -and it just gives me a lot of pleasure to just look!! On the practical side, it's a nice size - not too huge and not tiny - there's a very sturdy plastic insert tray inside and a sewn in pin cushion. My daughter loves hers too - despite the fact that she already had 5 other sewing baskets, she said she definitely did not want her CK one returned!!

Tracy,
So glad you all had a lovely but cold Christmas, hope you got the little parcel of goodies we sent you, sorry no treats for the puppers this time, we though that their Mummy and Daddy needed the treats this time lol

wow 2 more additions to be uncovered, we can't wait to see who they are.

All the best for the new year, wishing you all ever success in the last push to finish your wonderful home.

Lots of love and hugs from the Cupcake house.
