sheep shelter and wool goodies

this weekend has been rather wool based :)

i have spent lots of time bonding with dear old Rodders - it is important that he trusts me, it just makes it so much easier to catch him if needed.

i have learnt two things regarding this chap...... he prefers rich tea to digestive, and he really stinks!

.... in a manly ram sort of way........

we also finally managed to build a shelter for the girls - so far they have stayed as far away from it as possible - seriously - right at the other end of the field...... why oh why do i worry so much?

despite their opinion we had a great time , the weather was bright, dry and crisp and i got to improve my hammering skills :)

of course Ghillie was keeping a close eye on us....

i also managed to photograph the wool bunting at last - not quite how i imagined it would look.
how on earth can i take a picture of the whole length whilst still showing the detail?
soooo many pictures and these are the best - i can do no more!!

first up is my Autumn Bunting.....

and then my Noel version........

details.......

and now just the bag to photograph.

i also cobbled together images of my Woodland notebooks
these samples have been knocking around for weeks and weeks - they have been dragged in to the garden, my neighbours barn, the forest..... i just could not take a picture that i was happy with.
it has got to the point that i have to settle for an image or they will never be available to sell.

Squirrel......

owl.......
group........

i must improve my photography skills, it will be a challenge for next year, along with staring to play the piano again, ceramics, cycling, etc etc
so many things that i want to do and at 36 i feel that i am running out of time - i must concentrate on the dreams that i will not be able to do at 70!!!!!

this week will see me finishing my website, making stock, completing orders, starting my Christmas garland samples, and spending each evening in the house.....
a few of the rooms are almost ready to paint....
almost

i will update you all on the progress over at Sea House later this week

ta ta for now

It all looks lovely Tracy. Still like the Christmassy one best though!

I'm sure the girls will enjoy their shelter when it gets really chilly.

I've added a photo of Han's Gloucester Old Spot piglets on my blog today. She was out taking piccies at 5am!

I LOVE that wool bunting - it's gorgeous. The notebooks are fabulous - is the inside lined pages or blank pages?

Take care. x

Your bunting is so beautiful, so original and fresh.
I know what you mean about trying to fit everything in before we get too old. I just turned 49 and I swear I was only 36 and expecting my dear girl just a few weeks ago!
I remember when you posted about piano lessons last year and had some interesting comments about online lessons. Well I still have those bookmarked and fully intend to master the huge beast that stands in the corner of our playroom one of these days. Good luck you too!

I just love the wool bunting honey, it's so warm looking. And those bote books are just fab, will they be on your website? or on NOTHS.
Glad the girls have shelter now but how funny they won't go near it yet. Silly girls don;t you know Mummy just wants to keep safe and warm. LOL
Oh wonderful that some rooms are nearly ready for painting you must be so excited sweetie, I know I am and I'm sitting here in very grey Kent hehe!
Looking forward to seeing Cupcakes at home up and running again. Wishing you the very best of luck with it.
Many hugs lovely lady,

Hi, I'm new to your blog. I love your area you live in. Also, the banners are adorable. I have made a few myself but not as pretty as yours. I am trying to get one for every holiday. I just think the are so cute. I love all your aminals too. It must be fun to live on a farm. Nice to meet you.
