let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

just look what we woke up to this morning :)

.... after squealing with delight i pulled on my wellies and went outside in to the Winter Wonderland!

of course this weather means that the ponies and sheep are unable to graze, so the feeding round had to be done quickly

and repeated throughout the day

once the feeding was done and i had finished squealing and thus confirming to the builders that i am "not quite the ticket"......

i let the dogs out......

oh - how my dogs LOVE the snow :)

thankfully Miss Mabel Moo has one black leg or we may have lost her completely in the snow...

of course when you are a whippet in the snow you have to learn to do the
whippet snow dance
.....

keep sniffing, eating rabbit poop.....

whilst standing on three legs only!

it is now 4pm and it is still snowing - who knows how much we will get?
our neighbour says that this is nothing - when it reaches your thighs - then it has really snowed...

eeekkk
cannot wait!

Sometimes it is so obvious I live in the SouthWest.

We have just had a flurry of sleet with a dusting of snow (that has all started to melt already) and I think I am just as excited!!!

Oh my - I heard the weather man talk of snow - looks like you got it first. Can't wait to see your pictures later on in the winter - I know it'll be stunning. x

I never thought that this year you'd get snow earlier than we do ('we' - meaning us, in Lithuania, who got only bad rain last night). Enjoy it! :)

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! Please post lots and lots and lots and lots and LOTS of pictures! I'm missing home horribly right now, especially the weather and seeing pictures at he beginning of the BBC weather reports when they show snow up and down the country...*sigh* Small things, I know, but hugely important and comforting to me.

Oh well, home in time for Christmas which is only about 6 weeks away, squee!

Enjoy the snow, I'm sooooooo envious!!!! And does this mean the girls are going to have some nice home made coats in their stockings this year?

Brrrr - chilly! We had sleet down here, too. A customer came in to DH this afternoon with ice on her windscreen and said there was a couple of inches on the road into Shaftesbury.

Oh how exciting! SNOW!!! Already! I love the pics of your dogs in the snow - they must be loving it. I'd like it to snow just about Christmas time, or indeed any time when I don't need to go anywhere. We had a hint of it today - this afternoon we had hell stones and SLEET !!! Oh my ears and whiskers!!! Happy snowy days to you. Denise.

Oooh luck you! I love snow, we can usually see it on the top of the Malverns or the Cotswolds which is a real tease as we hardly ever get any ourselves :0(

Oh, yes! Right now we are experiencing our first storm of the season. The wind is howling the snow is blowing, the roads are slippery and the leaves are still on the trees for goodness sake!I am longing for the calm after the storm as I am so worried about my son driving in the snow for the first time. Tomorrow hopefully we will wake up to everything looking so pretty.

Oh you lucky things! Life seems so much more romantic when fresh snow is on the ground. Fat chance here in Cornwall. I'd so love to see Walter playing in the snow....
Hope you're all warm enough.

Ooh it looks beautiful. No wonder you squealed. There was snow up on the Chilterns just down the road from us but we just got sleet. Lovely to see the snow on the hills from a distance though.

wow - you guys are getting snow and I'm walking around in tank tops! it's so crazy how different the weather is around the country! it has actually been cold around my area for the most part, but we've had a couple unusually warm days over the last week. thanks for sharing the snow-y photos - they were fun to look at!
