catch up week...

this week has to be a catch up week - no new projects will be started, no daydreaming, no gazing at the sea waiting for a glimpse of the dolphins.....

nope

just me and my laptop - catching up with emails - so for all that have taken the time to send me a sweet message, expect a reply this week :)

this week also sees the return of our crew of builders - they have been away for a whole week as baby number 13 was due to make an appearance......
clearly Ken is a wise man - he already has two of his sons working with him and he has again added to the list of joiners in the family business!

it has been lovely to have a week to bond with our house, to be able to wander in and out throughout the day, sit on the deck in the sunshine and shelter under the stairs in the rain!
we think we have made a final decision for the kitchen but have come to a complete standstill when it comes to the placing of the wood burner in the main room..... one problem solved and another rises.

the downside of having a week to wander around the house is that we have made quite a few changes to the layout which will mean moving of frames and even a window - we are going to wait for the crew to actually drive through our gate before we tell them
mmmmm
perhaps i should lock the gate behind them...............

anyhoo
back later this week with more pictures of the house and a post all about the two naughty ponies that have stolen my heart

cany wait to see more, you are right too much time to think lets your mind run with all kinds of ideas, but I'm sure you will be over the moon with the end result. As for the builders, yep lock the gate and offer lots of lovely tea and biccies.

love jules x

I'm sure you'll charm the builders, or perhaps Miss Mabel could? It's good to pause so you can get a feel for the house and its layout, too. And I'm not in the tiniest bit surprised you have fallen for Woody and Dillon. How could you not?! D x

Hope you get all your catching up done but the chance of seeing a dolphin would be too much temptation for me!
Good time to make the changes, I am sure the builders will be fine with it but I agree with everyone else lock the gate just in case!

Far better to change your mind now. I'm sure/hope the builders will agree. Add cake to the biscuits and tea and lock the gate though, just to be sure!

Won't be long now ...

Lock the gate, and then stick a big fat padlock on it! x

I'm sure the builders will be more than happy to move a few rooms around for you both. It's only natural to want to change some things. And maybe the bride of gallons of tea and some yummy cakes will do the trick, no need to kidnap them hehe!
Looking forward to hearing from you, I've emailed about the birthday girls present, it is safe and sound here until I hear from you.
Many hugs and lots of love.

Building is so much fun, isn't it? To sit inside with just the framing up and imagine where everything will go...essential!
